    Conference Devices are connected in a daisy\u2011chain configuration to the Control Unit of a CCS 1000 Digital Conference System. Their plug\u2011and\u2011play functionality allows them to be conveniently connected to and removed from the system as required. A power down or restart of the system is not necessary, which ensures for fast installation and reconfiguration times.Participants can take part in a discussion by speaking into the microphone and listening to proceedings through the built\u2011in loudspeaker or (optional) headphones.<\/p>\n

    Possible-to-speak indication<\/b>
    \nA white possible\u2011to\u2011speak indicator above the microphone button indicates when the microphone can be activated.<\/p>\n

    Request\u2011to\u2011speak indication<\/b>
    \nA green request\u2011to\u2011speak indicator above the microphone button and in the head of the microphone indicate when a request\u2011to\u2011speak has been added to the waiting list. The indicators flash green when the request\u2011to\u2011speak is first in the waiting list.<\/p>\n

    Short microphone with flexible stem<\/b>
    \nThe fixed microphone with flexible stem can be easily adjusted to suit the user. For maximum comfort, a short 310 mm (12.2 in) .<\/p>\n

    Built-in loudspeaker with volume control<\/b>
    \nTo ensure for optimum intelligibility, the loudspeaker volume of all Discussion Devices is centrally controlled from the Control Unit.<\/p>\n

    Face-to-face meeting feeling<\/b>
    \nAn authentic face\u2011to\u2011face meeting feeling is achieved by allowing the loudspeaker and microphone to be on at the same time.<\/p>\n

    Headphones socket<\/b>
    \nThe built\u2011in 3.5 mm (0.14 in) stereo headphones socket enables the speaker to be clearly heard, even when there is excessive background noise.<\/p>\n

    Built\u2011in volume control for headphones<\/b>
    \nFor maximum comfort, the headphones volume can be adjusted by means of a rotary thumb wheel on the side of the Discussion Device. To prevent acoustic feedback from headphones to microphone, an option in the web browser application can be set to automatically reduce the headphones volume when the microphone is activated.<\/p>\n

    GSM immunity<\/b>
    \nImmunity to mobile phone interference ensures for clear, uninterrupted discussion.<\/p>\n

    Configurable as a participant or chairperson\u2019s device The Discussion Device can be quickly configured as a \u2018chairperson\u2019s device\u2019, which enables a user to function as the chairperson at a meeting. No restart of the system is required. During a discussion, the
    \nchairperson can press and hold in the priority button to overrule all participant microphones. A chime is also sounded to announce that the chairperson is about to speak.<\/p>\n
